Where does the time go

Very busy of late with work stuff, home stuff and just general stuff. No a great deal of crafting, desperately wanting to just not finding the time.

Above are some of the creations I have managed.

I have also had a busy week in my Palace, or I should say outside..

Doesn't it look fab?

Talking fab sheds, I would love if you could vote for my shed to win
Shed of the year.

Thank you

January round-up!

So sorry blogging friends, I don't know where time has gone.  Here is a round up of a few January crafts

This is a birthday card I made for one of my boys friends and a little bear card I made with my NEW CAMEO, yep, my new baby and I LOVE IT!

Here is a card  made with the adorable new die from Marianne and  Hero Arts stamp for the frame.

Here is another Cameo card made using a file from Miss Kates Cuttables
she sells the most adorable SVG's and if you upgrade your Cameo software
you can use these. Also I used the sketch pens to make the wording.

Lastly here is a print and cut card I made using my Cameo and the print and
cut function.  I got my machine from work (of course)  www.craftsulove.co.uk
I have well and truly been won over from Cricut to the Cameo, I love it.

First card for 2013

Oh Christmas Tree, Oh Christm.....   Oh Valentines Tree......

I received this adorable Pop N cuts in the post yesterday, unfortunately this tree die didn't hit the UK stores in time for Christmas and although I thought it destined for the Christmas drawer for another year Karen Burniston (the designer of the Pop n cuts) said to me she could see it being used with hearts for valentines.  So armed with my new die and my Downton DVDS (oh wow fab series) I snuggled into my shed last night and made this.  I was thrilled with how it turned out, even though it looks like it's been hit by the "pink fairy".

I love to use things a bit differently if it means you can make a seasonal crafting item something you can
use all the time. Wondering what I can do with this next ;)

As people in the States are gearing up for CHA the big trade show in the USA I can't wait to see
what is on its way to the UK in a few months, its an exciting time of the year for crafters :)

Last one of 2012

Can't believe another year is nearly out.  2012 hasn't been a bad year really, not a great one, not a bad one as years go.  Thankful for so much my kids, my hubby, my family, my friends, my pets,  my health (of sorts) and my job.  My kids continue to get older even though I distinctly remember telling Harvey at 7 years to stop growing now but he defies me and will be 10 in March!  Caiden is my cheeky 6 year old who makes me laugh and shout daily!  They both do really :)  Darren my long suffering hubby doesn't mind when I disappear in the evenings to play in my palace (some would say he's flippin lucky!)  either play or watch some sort of dvd (Twilight, Vampire Diaries or my newest love Downton)

So what will 2013 bring?  who knows.... more of the same I suspect.  I am not one for making resolutions, I think they are utter tosh, if you want to change you change whenever not on a certain date.  You have to be totally ready for that change and not forced as the calender says so.  I am hoping that it will bring happy and heathly kids and everyone (including me)  I hope that I have a great year at work and look forward to the year ahead with Crafts U Love.. of course a lottery win wouldn't go amiss! LOL  We've got a trip to Butlins to look foward to in May and I really hope a trip to Spain later in the year but that might be pushing it.  I hope to continue my one woman crafting mission to see if I can explode my shed through the sheer weight of "stuff"  LOL!!   Not really, but I certainly can't wait to see what Penny Black, Sizzix and many others bring out for 2013.  Sometimes I do wonder what I would be doing if I hadn't found crafting?!

So waffle aside here are my final makes for 2012... Using the lovely Penny Black stamps from Crafts U Love  and lots of dies and papers I made these Penny Black creations.

This cute little guy is zooming off to show his love!

This hedgie has love to share and fits perfectly onto the label
pop and cuts die this also from Crafts U Love  Lots of other dies
have also been used.

Lastly I have made this mini pizza box ideal for stuffing
love heart sweets and maybe your last rolo for someone you love.

Well I hope I haven't bored you to death with this post?  Have a wonderful New Years Eve whatever
you will be doing and
HAPPY 2013 to EVERYONE  XX

A double pop n cuts

Karen Burniston over on her blog posted some fantastic cards using this clever technique to create a double base for the pop and cuts and I decided right away I wanted to try.  I just grabbed the first papers next to me and got making this card.

Now you have seen mind you  can go and see Karen's instructions HERE, her lovely cards
and if you make one let me see yours :)

As you may have noticed I have a bit of a sizzix addiction right now!
Not taking away anything from my Penny Black addiction which will be fed
very soon with their new releases that will be at Crafts U Love soon.
There are some adorable "lovey" designs needing re-homing to my palace.

Have a lovely weekend.

Pop n Cuts - Poinsettia to Flower

Hello Strangers!

Sorry its been like a ghost town here.  What can I say, its been busy!

Tonight I made a card for a work colleague who's birthday it is tomorrow.  I used the Karen Burniston Pop N Cuts Poinsettia insert to make this floral and butterfly card.  The butterflies are from the fantastic Paula Pascual Sizzix Stamps.  You can get the stamps and dies from Crafts U Love.

Right my feet are freezing in my palace tonight so I had better go before my feet get so cold they never warm up or I might need to go to bed with my boots on :)

NEW Pop N Cuts

A few of the new Pop N Cuts have hit the shelves at Crafts U Love and of course I was first in the queue.

This one is the star and some of this release are ones that stand right up when you open the card.  I have also used the companion set with this which includes the word PARTY (that matches a different pop up) the STAR (that nestles with this pop up) and the STREAMER (which just decorates it fabulously).

What a fun card?!

Marianne Challenge Card

I have recently discovered the Marianne BV Facebook page and on there they mentioned the Marianne Challenge blog so I thought I would join in with their challenge this week.  They are on challenge 67 and it is to make a elongated Christmas card.  Whilst this card is not overly Christmas its more cozy wintery with this cute little knitting girl so I hope it fits the theme.

I also used the Scandinavian Heart and Mistletoe set and the paper all from Marianne.

Sizzix Flip it with Penny Black

Today I am sharing the Sizzix Flip it card.  I used the circle one for this card.  This die is fabulous as it makes a little interactive flip card in a matter of seconds!

here I have used My Little Yellow Bicycle papers
Penny Black stamp and of course the Sizzix Flip It! die

The flowers and the heart are from other Sizzix dies.
Flower from the Dena Flowers and the heart from the
Dena Puppy die.  The words are a Printworks stamp (very old)

Pop N Cuts Owl

Playing along and celebrating the amazing Pop n cuts dies from Sizzix.  Sizzix have been themselves celebrating Karen Burnistons dies and I of course had to join in.

Here I have used the circle die, this is the one that comes with the starter tray.  I also used the very lovely dies and stamps from Marianne.

I hope you enjoyed my card.
