Peas and Carrots- Card just for fun

I made this card the other week using the COMING SOON Lucky Rabbit die from Karen Burniston/Elizabeth Craft Designs.  The whole card came about from the delightful carrot that comes included with Lucky which got my thinking of the cute stamp I had with the Forrest Gump saying  "we go together like peas and carrots".  Which I say to my long suffering husband Darren :)  awwww

I also used the Flourish Gift Frame to make a lovely frame for the card and matches the new Gift Card accordion perfectly.  You will love this mini release!

I might keep this card for him and when I am after more crafty stash send
him a sloppy card :)  Do you think that might work?

I will let you all know just as soon as these are in stock at
Crafts U Love and other retailers.

Day 2 - September Challenge

I am back with my second card for the challenge.  Celebrate and Frame Edges.

For this card I used the new and coming soon Rabbit from Karen Burniston... Introducing Lucky the Rabbit!
Gift Card Accordion and an amazing all in one Flourish Gift Frame that is used like a Regular Frame Edge but is is one die cut and works beautifully as a standalone die too.

Now excuse me if this is short, but I am currently sitting on a chair with my legs off the floor!! Literally...  September is the "S" month... those eight legged freaks are out to torment me and one just legged it across the room and its still at large so I am keen to go to bed (typing this the night before the post will show)  Unsure I can get up the stairs as the freak it out in the hallway.  So as my legs so to sleep from lack of blood I will quickly show you my card.

I have also used the new Props basket and turn it into a cake!!

Sorry the inside photo is so bad.

This bunny is adorable and good for any occasion!

Coming soon to a retailer near you.

And I really must dash.. my legs are dead!

Karen Burniston September Challenge

Hello there,

Its challenge time again!! Where on earth does the time go?

This month's challenge is Celebrate! - interpret the theme however you want. Any type of joyful card meant to celebrate an accomplishment, milestone, birthday, new baby, etc. - also please incorporate any of the Frame Edges as an added twist.  www.craftsulove.co.uk

I admit to wanting to play with Jolly the mouse so kind of designed the whole card around him.  I cut him first and from then decided that I would use the CIRCLE ACCORDION and Edges that reminded me of cheese!!  I also used the plain edger with some lovely blue spotty paper.

Aww  looks like Jolly wants to celebrate with his favourite cheese and has hung
out the cheese bunting to celebrate!

Spots galore!!  Spotted edger die and spotty paper.  Hey if you want to hang cheese
out for your birthday Jolly is saying "Celebrate your way".  Personally I would prefer
some snickers or spicy mix up crisps!

Squeeek!!  Much excitement abound with Jolly the mouse not realising
what a party is it inside!

I will be back tomorrow with a new card and maybe a new die or two.  Would you like that?

As usual leaving everything until the last minute.  When will I ever learn?

Until tomorrow

A wedding card

Hi Friends,
Its been a while, again I start the blog with an apology.  Its been hectic with schools on holiday, visits from ITV and BBC  (more about that below)  Make lots of things but some of which I've not been able to show until I get the nod.  Or I just forgot. To be honest I am constantly juggling and the little time I do get to make cards I do just that, I make them and I forget to post, but I really should make an effort.

I made this card a few weeks ago but forgot to post before now so I thought whilst I had a few minutes where everyone is busy else where I would post this card.  Harveys out with a friend, hes 12 now and every moment possible his is hanging out with friends.  Caiden is upstairs on his X Box and Darren is down the pub having a quick beer before coming home.

I should of taken some better photos but I was trying to get this made
for a friend.  I have used the Rectangle Accordion, Agatha Edges and Pivot Heart together.
I decorated with some Stampin Up! stamps, distress Inks and the lovely Minc Machine
using the gold Foil.

Really very pleased how this turned out as it is not my usual style.

Just about getting back to normal since the kids have gone back.
Harvey is in year 8 and Caiden in year 5.  I can not believe how quick these
school years go.  Here are some photos of my boys.  Looking so grown up!

Exciting things have been happening in my Crafty Palace and I made have
made a few of you choke on your teas the other night when me and my Crafty
Palace were on BBC1 on the One Show.  If you would like to watch it I will paste the link for you.

The piece is about mid way.  I was only on for about a minute but would you believe
they were filming for almost 4 hours!!  Two lovely guys from BBC  Keaton and Dave the cameraman. They made the whole experience fun and tried to make a very nervous me feel a bit calmer.  If you fancy a laugh and a little peek into my palace click the link.

Keaton and Dave crammed into my shed!

Hey there's a cameraman in my shed!!

So I will leave you now, Caiden has now come downstairs and wants the PC.
Peace is shattered!!  And I need to get the dinner in the oven.  Jacket Spuds.  Nom Nom

I'll be back VERY SOON with a NEW die!!
