Tilda Safari

Here is a card I made yesterday. Tilda on Safari. I hope you like it.

All stamps are from http://www.sirstampalot.co.uk

Fruity Tastic

I dont know why but I am in a fruity mood again! When I saw this adorable melon Template from http://www.animalscraps.blogspot.com/ by a lady called Elizabeth I just had to email her to get it.

I picked up this cute Strawberry Tilda yesterday and although its called Strawberry I thought she would look cute with this melon too. I coloured her with distress inks.

In hindsight I would make the handle a bit narrower. I opted for the handle this way as I needed something to stick the flower to as it was very thin and spindly. I have filled mine with the fruity stamps from Tart and Tangy from Stampin Up! and lots of red and green ribbons.

(dont forget my offer for Tart and Tangy ends July so visit http://www.stampingcaz.co.uk/ to see more on the stamps and papers offer)

Enjoy!

Something new

I tried something new. I was greatly inspired by Kim Piggotts STUNNING cards at Crafts U Love on Sunday that I had to buy some of the shimmer mist and dust off my distress pads and have a go. Not up to Kims standards by any stretch, I expect the cardstock has something to do with this and lack of skills, But I was quiet happy for my first attempt.

Phew

We had fun at the Glitter Pot yesterday. 10 ladies in the morning and we sqeezed 13 in in the afternoon, phew! Lots of cutting and worn out feet at the end of it.

Morning was doodlebug (teamed with Penny Black) and afternoon was Forever Friends.

Here are the cards we made, these taken on the webcam so they look a bit naff.

This pink one above wasnt finished until I got to the Glitter Pot and I didnt take a photo. But I added card candy, ribbon and wording onto it.

This was a side step card that once we all mastered our craft knives we had fun making it!

Cherries Jubilee - thats the name of this Cherry stamp, I love the new fruity doodlebug paper. OM the special brads they have are adorable. The cutest cherries, strawberrys and more... have a look! I didnt get any but will one day.

Something different, a octagon card. Teamed up with the cutie pie strawberry mice!

So today I am at Crafts U Love all day. Teaching and demoing. Not sure when I am going to be able to get any food shopping for the family! Not even sure what time I finish today?!

Here is a card I made last night with a digistamp from Fred, she said designs. The paper is doodlebug and the ribbon is part of a special ribbon deal that SU has going on on 1st August.
This one was taken with my phone, Oh how I miss my camera!

Quick Cards

I made two quick cards today using the wonderfully cute Pollycraft Moodles downloads. I love them! Harvey has a party tomorrow and Sunday. So I had two cards to make.

I left my camera round a friends, shes just text me to tell me, PHEW I cant cope with my phone camera for long so I will have to pick it up soon. Could really do with it for this weekend, so might have to pop round later.

I used my promarkers to colour them in. BTW Poolycraft has a friday giveaway, not sure if she has done this weeks yet, but check the link to the right.

Caidens Graduation

Caiden had his pre school graduation. I think I might have taken him in too late as he got there as they were eating already, so he sat down and was given a plate of biscuits as he obviously missed the sandwiches ect.... Not that it phased him!

"hey this is MY kinda party"

"Hmmm.... bit boring this! "

"Hey look what I can do!"

"Oh and there is this one too! "

"This is my fav, hey mum look at me ! "

"remember this one Mum?, you taught me this one last week"
Opps!! I did too! He was messing about with my face the other day and he pressed my nose, so I stuck my tongue out, then I showed him to twist my nose and my tongue moved that way.. he was laughing his head off... he was sitting there twisting his nose and moving his tongue...
Hope I have given you all a laugh. Especially Nanny and Grandma and Grumps.

Little Box

I made this little box for my make and take for this Mondays Stampin' Up! party. Book a party with me and you and your friends could be making a box or card or something else!

All products are Stampin' Up! arent I a good girl? a Stampin' Up! project... they are few and far between on this blog! LOL

I used the simply said set, oval punches, old olive ink, so saffron ink and card, pumpkin pie card and ink. Some pens to colour the flower heart, a jewelled brad, a wheel who's name escapes me, sorry! the scallop edge punch too. I love this box, I learnt it last week at a demo meeting, there was a group of 8 of us who met up.
Hope you like it.

Cazx

PS I have the stamping group meeting this saturday and also party monday so I am busy with making samples and make and takes for that so sorry if I am not about.

For Teacher

I like to make a little gift for Harveys teachers. Usually something I feel they might think comes in handy. I figure they have meetings, notes to take ect so I have made these cheap notebooks (£1 poundland) look a little more special.

You all know I love stamping, I will never give it up. But lately the ease of the digital image has been luring me in. I got these from the same place as before (see a few places down) The book for Miss Bremner has the cute little kitty AND mouse holding bouquet, now these are 2 different images, but thats the beauty of digital. You can make them bigger, make them smaller or even put two in the same picture! Cute eh?

I printed this onto some lovely white card I brought off my friend Kim! Thanks Kim its FAB!! Will you be able to get this for a while? or do I need to stockpile some?? And coloured with watercolour pencils and it didnt move one bit. The other book I used promarkers, again without problem.
I might add some ribbon to the edges, not sure yet.

Birthday Wishes

Here is another adorable Popcorn bear which I got from http://www.sirstampalot.com/ How cute is he? Coloured with promakers. Simply mounted onto some paper and card, nestie, ribbon, button and viola!

Weather hasnt been too bad today, which is a shame in a weird way, as we cancelled our Beaver beach trip due to weather and now it was OK. Still we have a fun packed evening planned for tomorrow night, bringing some fun from the beach into our scout hut. I have designed a "coming in" activity which involves the boys trying to find small stamped fish (A SU set from the mini) all around the hall. I hope it works ok. Sure it will. Must not forget the blutac for it! And there are more beach themed games and ice-cream too :)

My class today - Nestie Book at CUL

We made a nestie book at CUL today. Here is what we did.

Doodlebug papers, various punches to made the decorative strips, nesties and two CC designs stamps were use to make these fun and practical books.

The ladies all did a fantastic job at their books, some used different stamps too.

Dino FUn

I had a quick card to make for a party today, I only thought about it late afternoon yesterday.

I used a Dustin Pike digi image. A few fonts and here you are.

Kept it simple, its for a 6 year old boy, so no frills, ribbons or flowers.
Finished the nestie book I am making for todays classes. I am pleased with how its turned out. Will share photos of that later.

Mouse giggles

This is another Digi Image, I couldn't resist. Looks like they have shared a good joke.

I love these mice, there is one in the shop I havent got yet, when I get a few pennies I will have to treat myself. I hope there are more to come!

The papers are Stampin' Up! and the flower is Craftwork Cards. Actually saved off a baggie that Julie made me for easter, I saved that flower, I knew it would we re-used.

Am prepping tonight for my nestie book class on Saturday. We are using the fun new papers from Doodlebug to make our books. I have so far added the magnets to the pages and covered, now I have to sort the binding and the decorate! I will share on Saturday after the class.

I saw a mouse... where, there on the

Bench, there on the bench right there, a little mouse with a T shirt on, well I declare going clip clipty clop on the stair... Hee hee, not quiet the right words.

This is another image from Digistamp character - see link below post.

Tooooo cute!
Paper is Stampin' Up! The words and footprints are from a Penny Black clear set that I from from Sirstampalot.
The little texture dots around the mice is a Stamps by Judith peg stamp. I have had it years and recently found it again.
Hope you like it.

Sweet Kitty

How cute is this stamp? Another Magnolia from http://www.sirstampalot.co.uk/

Papers are from Stampin' up! and are called Rainbow Sherbert, I love this set. Beautiful zingy and fun papers and colours. Code 113641 12 sheets, 2 each of 6 designs, all double sided for £7.75 from moi! - remember you dont have to spend a lot to order, if you just want one pack of papers I can order those for you, not a problem.

So, heres the card.

The flower is Craftwork cards, candy dot too. The Ribbon is Woodware and I coloured the design with Watercolour pencils.

Gauging Interest

Friday morning classes at my house?? I am think this in September. Classes would start at 9.15 and finish at 11.15 PROMPT thats 2 hours.

Caiden starts school in September, I drop him off at 9 and pick him up at 11;30

Anyone fancy it?? Not every Friday, maybe every other Friday would be good?

Materials wise I would use a selection of stamps from various companys, so it wont be solely SU, but papers and Inks it would be SU. Of course I will use SU stamps too if the project calls for it. But there will be magnolias, penny black and others thrown in too.

Please email me if you are interested. stampingcaz@btinternet.com

Wild about you

Here is another brayer card made with Magnolia images again. Love em!

The "grass" is an old stamp I have had for years, its Stampourri lavender, not sure they are still around? I went to my shed, searching for something I could use, surely I had something that would pass as grass as I know the lions like long grasses in their homeland. And yes! I found it :) This time as well as the orange, yellow and red I used 2 shades of green too, both from SU.

Kim would be proud

I have a friend called Kim, if I mention her surname a few of you might just recognise her, infact a lot would. Kim Reygate, she has written a few crafting books and makes the most stunning backgrounds with inks and brayers.

I have had my brayer for years.. It has ink on it, so I have used it on something, cant remember what, but today I inked it up again and made this card. Kim would be very proud of me and my card!

I really enjoyed making this and of course it was a perfect background for these safari Edwin stamps. When I saw the savannah scene stamp I instantly knew I would do this. I didnt have any background paper to match, so I very scruffily wheeled a Stampin Up! wheel across the background to cover with vines and leaves.

All stamp were from http://www.sirstampalot.co.uk/

I did the sky with summer sun, pumpkin pie and ruby red ink pads from Stampin Up! and the ground was creamy caramel with a hint of really rust. I have a SU offer on the first 3 coloured inkpads. If you order all three I will send you 12 corresponding A4 cardstock sheets FREE! (4 of each colour, Summer Sun, Pumpkin Pie and Ruby Red)

I have joined Mail Chimp for all new relating to Stampin' Up! Please join the list. Link is on the right.

A little something....

A beautiful gift received from a USA angel - this is a SU USA stamp set and if the wish fairy is watching, "please please please let us have this set in our new catalogue". I can assure you if we do I will be shouting from the rooftops!

I have made this little gift bag as a small Thank you for a friend.

So I guess all I can say is watch this space...... Roll on October hey? (our new catalogue) This is a lovely technique, perfect for these stamps.

Here is Mini Popcorn

This Mini Popcorn was done with the shrink plastic in the oven, colouring a little better this time. I have shown a "before" picture, so you can see the colouring is light and how much it darkens and deepens.

Before shrinking, very light!

After Shrinking the colours are bright and vibrant!

The simple finished card.

I NEVER would have thought just a few months ago I would be touching flowers like this silk one, but its actually quiet cute on this card. I got some bargain ones from my Studio cards catalogue.
Popcorn stamp from www.sirstampalot.co.uk you can will be able to see all my Popcorn cards at Sirstampalot when I have made a bundle I will be sending them up to them.

update about blog

apparently is wasnt the followers (although it has been advised to move to lower on your blog)_ but somethign to do with the music playlists. I noticed the other day at my playlist had frozen with a message about copyright and all or some songs wouldnt play so I deleted that.

Hmmm.

No followers

I have taken my followers off for now. Boo Hoo Loved seeing who was watching me but apparently there may be a problem with this. I have and I am still having problems looking at various blogs that I always used to look at. I get a IE error and then it kicks me out. Simplyfairies was one of the places that did this for me, she posted about removing her followers and I can get into her blog fine now.

Just wanted to explain why I had removed the follower part.

Mini Popcorn

So here in the flesh is the idea of shrink plastic Popcorn. First one that I tried with heat gun went terribly wrong. The trouble with working with such a large piece of shrink is when heating with gun sometimes part of it will curl and stick and thats what happened with the first one. The second I chucked in the oven in a pyrex dish and it worked just fine. One thing I would change is to colour it softer as it has gotten a bit too heavy and bright.

Paper, wheel are Stampin Up! The popcorn bears are from www.sirstampalot.co.uk

Cazx

Just for you

I have had this card lying about for a while just waiting for a sentiment to be added. So before it got ruined I thought I had better add one and finish it.

Think Caiden has been at camera again and blurred the front. The image is from Willow Designs Downloads. Walter Owl Download http://www.willowdesignstamps.com/index.htm

they have some fantastic owls.

Coloured with promarkers.

See ya!

How cute?! Popcorn Bear

Here is one of the Crafters Companion stamps that I got from Sir Stampalot..Popcorn bear! as soon as I saw them I knew I had to have some :) And as soon as I saw this image I knew I wanted to use it first. I love the flowers.

The stamps themselves are unmounted rubber, and they come with a coloured index card AND inside that card are 2 lovely card ideas.. very nice touch. Now the only thing that shocked me, was the size of the stamps!! WOW they are bigger than they look on the front. This is a 5 3/4" card and you can see how well this stamp fills it. It does actually say inside these are perfect for oversize cards with a little embellishments. Not a negative, just a surprise, these would be perfect for Shrinking as they would still be a nice size after being shrunk.

I hope you like him, go to http://www.sirstampalot.co.uk/products_new.php?page=4 to view the others and buy them too!
